SPANDAN 2025: Day 3 culminates in reverting performances and Intellectual showdowns at BHU

Varanasi – The third day of the SPANDAN 2025, the celebrated cultural youth festival of Banaras Hindu University, reached a crescendo of talent and intellectual prowess, leaving audiences spellbound with a diverse range of competitions and performances.
The final day delivered a dynamic mix of artistic expression and mental agility, showcasing the depth and breadth of BHU’s student talent. From soulful melodies to gripping theatrical performances and a nail-biting quiz finale, the day was a testament to the vibrant spirit of SPANDAN.
The Amphitheatre ground came alive with exhilarating folk dance performances, embodying the spirit of “Mini India,” a reference often attributed to Banaras Hindu University for the diversity it fosters and nurtures. Teams from various faculties and colleges performed various dance forms from various parts of the country, including Rajasthani, Lavani, Assamese, Tribal forms and others.
Other Key Highlights of Day Three:
Melodic Mastery:
The “Sur Sangam” light vocal song competition captivated audiences with a spectrum of contemporary and popular melodies. In total, 22 students participated in Light Vocal Song – Solo. While, the “Raag Darbar” the classical song competition, showcased the intricate beauty of traditional Indian music.
Theatrical Brilliance:
The short play competition, “Rangmanch,” presented a series of compelling narratives, demonstrating the students’ exceptional acting and storytelling abilities.
Intellectual Climax:
The highly anticipated quiz finale, “Gyana Sangram,” saw the brightest minds of BHU clash in a battle of wits, providing an exhilarating and intellectually stimulating experience.
Diverse Competitions:
Various other events took place throughout the day, including extempore competitions, painting competitions, and more, providing a wide array of opportunities for students to show off their skills. The atmosphere was electric as students and spectators alike witnessed the culmination of months of preparation and practice. The festival grounds resonated with applause and cheers, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone present.
